The Silverado 2500HD is propelled by a standard 6.6-liter V-8 engine generating 401 hp and 464 pound-feet of torque. An Allison® 10-speed transmission sends power to the rear wheels. Or you can select four-wheel drive for more surefooted control on low-traction surfaces. When properly configured and equipped, a gas-powered Silverado 2500HD can tow up to 16,000 pounds conventionally or up to 18,700 pounds with a 5th-wheel/gooseneck setup. Gasoline models can haul from 3,375 to 3,689 pounds depending on your configuration.

For even more taxing tasks, the Silverado 2500HD offers an available Duramax® 6.6-liter Turbo-Diesel V-8 with 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque. A Duramax-powered Silverado 2500HD can pull up to 20,000 pounds conventionally or up to 22,430 pounds with a 5th-wheel/gooseneck trailer. Payload ratings for diesel models range from 3,372 to 3,615 pounds.

Interior

The Silverado 2500HD is available as a Regular, Double, or Crew Cab model with a standard (82.3-inch) or long (98.3-inch) bed. It offers comfortable accommodations with cozy seats, ample passenger room, and a clean, modern layout. Work Truck and Custom trims get a 7-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, providing convenient access to various smartphone features.
